Md Baharul Islam

Dr. Md Baharul Islam is an Associate Professor of Law at the School of Law, Ramaiah University of Applied Sciences, Bengaluru, India. He holds a Ph.D. in International Space Law. A Gold Medalist in LL.M., Dr. Islam has over 10 years of teaching experience and prior professional practice as an advocate before the High Court of Tripura. His areas of research and teaching include International Space Law, Technology Law, Intellectual Property Rights, and emerging legal challenges in outer space governance. Dr. Islam is an Individual Member of the International Institute of Space Law (IISL), Paris, and has published extensively in reputed national and international journals and edited volumes, including works on space debris, transnational crimes in outer space, AI governance, and IPRs in space activities.\n\nHe has presented papers at numerous international and national conferences and has received Best Paper Presenter Awards at international forums. In addition to his academic contributions, Dr. Islam has held significant academic leadership and administrative roles and has successfully completed the Nurturing Future Leadership Programme at the Indian Institute of Management Bangalore (IIMB). His work reflects a strong commitment to interdisciplinary scholarship, global legal governance, and academic institution-building.
